We are Geranium – AKA Hanako Hoshimi-Caines, Maria Kefirova and Katie Ward – Studio 303’s current curator-in-residence. Together we have put together Quantum Fur, an evening of performance and video where we welcome artists and works that bother the borderlines between beings and things and make us question the inside and outside of the community.
---> The evening features <---
Wampum by Elisa Harkins (Oklahoma), an indigenous electronic music performance inspired by Native American sheet music from the 1800’s and rearranged into dance music.
Erin Fortier (Montreal), neuroscientist and artist, works with the materiality of memory: what levels of experience do we count as lived and what richness might this add for imagining futures?
Marc Boucher (Montreal) who presents Stick Kitties, a hybrid of the dancing body, sculpture and dumpster diving.
The multimedia artist Moine de la non existence de la pensée (Brussels) presents Milk Pearl, a video that rides and breaks the lines of language and physicality, trance and poetry.
